1 Introduction

Purchasing Terms and Conditions for Sacred Yew.
Sacred Yew is the business name of the photographic artwork and writings of Louise Hargreaves. Sacred Yew’s website is a platform for showcasing and purchasing selected pieces of original, photographic artwork by Louise Hargreaves.

For clarity:
Us, we, our etc. refers to Sacred Yew.
You, your, yours etc. refers to You, the customer.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions between us (Sacred Yew) and yourself (the customer). They do not affect your statutory rights. Please read them carefully.

2. Our goods

We offer a range of light framed canvases, fine art Giclée mounted prints in various sizes, and selected gift items, all with original photographic artwork by Louise Hargreaves.

3. Our Online Shop

To order goods on our website, you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery within the UK.
We use an online shop to receive and help accomplish our orders. This process requires you to input some personal details in order for us to fulfil our delivery to you. For clarity on what information is collected and how it may be used, please see our privacy policy.

4. Data Accuracy and Availability

We strive to ensure information on the website about our products is as accurate as possible. All information provided on the products on this website is intended as a guide only.
There may be some minor discrepancies in descriptions and dimensions. In particular, representation of colours on your viewing device may differ slightly to the actual product.
Goods are subject to availability and so delay in delivery of goods is sometimes outside our control.

5. Prices

The total price payable will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been acknowledged.
Prices that are reduced for sales and promotions are valid only for the specified period.
Prices, offers and products are subject to availability and may change before (but not after) we accept your order. If a product becomes unavailable we may offer you an alternative or suggest that you re-visit the online gallery shop.
Although we endeavour to ensure that all pricing information on the website is accurate, occasionally pricing adjustments may occur. This may be due to an increase in our suppliers’ prices or human error. In the occurrence of a pricing discrepancy, we will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order. We are not obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.
On occasion, the prices payable and promotions offered in respect of goods advertised on the website may differ from those prices and promotions offered at the same time at an event, such as art exhibition or pop-up stall.
Delivery charges will be payable as indicated at the time the order is placed.

6. Acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy from us.
All orders will be acknowledged electronically by e-mail at the time of order. Electronic acknowledgements do not constitute order confirmation or order acceptance.
Acceptance of the order is only formed once we have dispatched your order.
At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you.

7. Payment and Security

Payment is required at the point of purchase.
Orders that you submit are dealt with by the secure payment provider Stripe.

8. Shipping and Dispatch

Postage and packing rates are calculated in the online shop and will be clearly stated before you make your purchase.
Delivery charges will be payable as indicated at the time the order is placed.
Delivery will be made to the address specified by you on the completed order form.
We dispatch 2-3 times a week and more frequently at times of high demand (e.g. Christmas). Any orders received at weekends will be dispatched the following week.
Shipping is via Royal Mail. We are advised by the post office that customers should wait 28 days before reporting an item as ‘missing’, however, if your product has not arrived within a fortnight of you receiving your despatch confirmation email, please contact us and we will investigate.
We shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods.

9. Cancellation and Returns

If you change your mind about making a purchase please email us immediately as we may be able to stop the dispatch of your item.
You also have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the product. You must inform us within these 14 days that you wish to cancel. You then have another 14 days, from the date of notifying us, within which to return the product.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it and in the original packaging. We reserve the right to refuse refunds on items that have been tampered with or used.
Once we have received the item, and agreed that it is resalable, we’ll arrange for a refund.
We will refund your money in the same way you paid for your product. If this is not possible we will contact you to ask how you would like to be refunded.
We will refund the purchase price promptly, or if you prefer, exchange the specific product you ordered.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. We cannot be held responsible for any items, which are lost in the post or not received by us.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.

10. Damages

If you receive an item that is damaged you must inform us within 3 days of delivery, we will require a photo of the damaged goods.
The faulty or damaged goods must then be returned to us for a refund or replacement.

11. Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.

12. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. If this method is not possible we will contact you to ask how you would like to be refunded.
Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund for the product, the cost of return shipping will not be included in your refund.

13. Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

14. Customer Satisfaction

We want you to be thrilled with your purchases from us. We take our customer happiness very seriously and encourage you to contact us straight away if you have any queries, comments or complaints about the goods you have received.
